Had dinner with some friends tonight and we opened a bottle of Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine. Years ago I was given some real moonshine out of a mason jar that was a cross between lighter fluid and paint remover. One shot and I was done for the night (the little I remember), so I was a bit timid at the thought of drinking moonshine for dinner.

Well, the bottle was passed to me and I poured it over some ice to try to lessen the blow from the fumes. As I brought it to my lips I was blown away by how good this stuff was. Smooth and creamy with a hint of what I think is nutmeg. Picture a summertime eggnog. Yes, I know, strange comparison but it did! The stranger thing is that I kept going back for more. Try some if you get a chance. I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. (and it didn’t take the paint off my table).
