Another day, another flight. Today’s flight is Denver to JFK, NY and today’s meal in first class seat 1D was an arugula salad with grilled chicken, an apple and pineapple salad and a Dancing Deer molasses and clove cookie.
The salad as full of apples, walnuts, blue cheese and chicken. Though tasty, I felt as if the salad could have used a few tomatoes to add to the acidity of the dish. I would have also like to have more of a crunch with a couple of croutons.
The wine I paired with it was a Canyon Road merlot. Light and spicy, it went well with the spice of the arugula.
Now that I have fully switched over all my flying to Delta from United, I look forward to tasting new dishes as I fly around the world.
